Lingerie is something that is always going to be a part of our lives.  No matter how hard you try – lingerie is something that you need and while you do not necessarily need to have the sexiest lingerie out there, the constant surprise of lingerie and just how sexy the designers can make it is something that has always interested me.

Personally, I remember the very first bra that came out – it was beautiful and woman did not exactly know what to do with it … okay.  So I don’t remember the first bra, but I remember when pin-up girls in their lingerie pieces started appearing everywhere and honestly … they looked incredible!

Every single girl wanted to be them and if you were a girl that had that figure, you were in lingerie just like that.  Lingerie is a beautiful thing that can make you feel beautiful, don’t be ashamed of it!

Now that we have talked about just two of the leading trends for lingerie, wild or animals prints is going to be the next trend that we touch base on.  This is a trend that has been around in the lingerie world for as long as I can remember, however people are taking it to the extreme now.  Not only are there zebra prints out now, but all sorts of different animals have joined in the fun and their skin has been the inspiration for many different lingerie pieces.

A snake skin lingerie piece is one of them.  Now, I can honestly say that I do not think that snake skin is something that is sexy, however – zebras are.  Snakes are nasty, slimy things that I do not really see being anywhere near sexy behind closed doors, however – snake skin lingerie is slowly but surely popping up everywhere!

This animal print trend, while cool is something that I never got into – give me black lingerie and I am perfectly happy with that!

While the color of the lingerie is something that many people do not really think about – one color that seems to be popping up everywhere in the world is blue.  Blue lingerie to me is something that is so different and strange.  Most of the time, when women are looking for lingerie, blue is not usually a color that they go to – red and black even purple sometimes are all colors that women tend to go to … or at least I do, however blue is a color that many women are choosing nowadays.

Blue to me, is very calming and rich – that is something that I love about it.  It truly looks like you are royal when you put on a blue piece of lingerie and I think that might be the key to this particular trend.  Women want to look rich and they want to look like a royal queen in their lingerie and that is what they get when they choose blue.

When I think of lingerie fashion trends, it is honestly very confusing to me this year – there have been a lot of different trends out there lately that are sexy but just surprising.  For example, retro lingerie is back in style hardcore this spring and summer and to me … that is mind-boggling!  While I am a huge, huge fan of the retro lingerie styles, I did not think that they would ever be back in fashion, however I was sorely mistaken!

Cotton knickers or high-waisted panties that men do not usually find attractive are slowly but surely sneaking their way back into women’s lingerie drawers and the cool thing about retro lingerie is that it is not only affordable but to me … it is so sexy it is crazy!  It can also be worn under everyday clothing, which is one of the main reasons why I got into it in the first place!

Now that we have talked about red lingerie, it is not time for you to slip to your dark side and talk about black lingerie.  Now, black lingerie is very, very sexy however it is more of a romantic color.  Most women think about black lingerie when they want to be romantic instead of totally, drop dead sexy.  Black is also a color that you wear when you want to move on over to the dark side, as black is usually associated with evil.

Black is by far one of the best colors when you are looking for sheer fabrics however.  When it comes to mystery, there is something that is so beautiful about sheer fabrics and black especially.  Black lingerie is super hot and looks great on everyone too – because honestly, black slims you down, so even if you do not have a perfect body, you will when you slip into something black.
