Luxury Lingerie Shopping

Patricia Fieldwalker is another luxury lingerie designer whose collections take your breath away when viewing. The home page speaks volumes for the collection. Luxurious light blue silk decorated with only the finest lace in a gorgeous long gown.

Named Adagio, the collection combines the rich history of European lingerie with modern day North American influences. The most expensive fabrics are used in silk, cotton and velvet adorned with prestigious Calais laces and other imported European trimmings. Everything is sewn under strict quality regulations in their own factory in Canada and the lacework is lovingly hand sewn.

Fabulously regal pieces come in daywear, nightwear and cruise or resort wear, tailored or loose fitting, and many pieces are easily worn on the outside instead of under clothing. Perusing the collection one knows that this is luxury at its finest. Style: IR-290 – Stretch Lace Boy Leg Tanga Panty is made from iridescent purple and black stretch lace from Calais, France. What makes this label different from the others is the whole panty is made of the lace not just the trimmings. When the website says, “drop dead gorgeous”, the company really means it.

Moving on to the chemise collection, style: 10308ST – Miami Lace Chemise, is simply exquisite. Made of silk charmeuse in Miami pink, the bodice is completely stretch lace with a gorgeous lace triangle inlay in the back of the chemise. The floral mixed blue or mixed pink flirt chemise is so stunning in a unique fabric called Crinkle Polyester. Expensive silk charmeuse trimmings make up the bottom ruffle. One cannot be sure if this beautiful number is outerwear or innerwear. But it would look sexy on a cruise or even walking the beach.

Reviewing the selection of pyjamas, the colours are intense in blackberry and crimson silk. Indeed, there is no doubt that the Patricia Fieldwalker Adagio collection deserves a place with the highest end lingerie products available. All of the best magazines have photographed the line and it remains a solid luxury collection.

While researching companies who offer luxury bridal lingerie collections, I came across several incredible pieces that made my heart jump. I thought to myself, these garments are so exquisite that it would be a shame to wear them for only one occasion in a woman’s life. Indeed, the collection deserves to be illuminated.

Regaling in extravagant pieces made of dotted Swiss tulle, Leavers Lace and gold filigree, I found that the designer is Claire Pettibone, who with her husband Guy Toley launched their first designs in 1994. The creations are vintage inspired with modern design while at the same time provide elegance, indulgence and dreamy visions to the women who wear the collection.

It is difficult to choose a favourite piece in this collection as all the pieces stand out on their own as stunning beauties. But if I were forced to make a decision and choose, I love the delicate and feminine Viola line which includes a camisole, chemise, long gown, short jacket, boyshort briefs and thong. Made of sumptuous stretch lace with silk ribbon waist sash, I was enthralled to view this collection.

But the heart stopper for me, and the line that originally piqued my interest, making me wish I never had to wear outer clothes again, was the Athena. Venise lace appliqués and stretch lace in rose, white, slate, ivory and black, I have never seen undergarments so tantalizingly beautiful. The rose coloured camisole left me feeling envious of the model wearing it as I longed to own the garment. The slate chemise might double as a gorgeous cocktail dress. I can understand why the Athena is the company’s signature collection.

Although, it appears this collection may only be sold in upscale lingerie boutiques in the US (you can find these on the Claire Pettibone site using the store locator), several pieces are being sold online as well on higher end bridal sites, which ship internationally.

We’ve been flooded by Jessica Simpson Beachwear news on the net in the past few weeks… Ever since the first week of July the fashion blogs have been reporting, and quite frankly, I’m not so sure the Jessica Simpson Swimwear collection deserved all the hype. On the other hand — she is an A-list celeb, so whatever she does draws attention anyway.
