Indeed, if price is any indication of luxury, then Claudie Song from Lyon, France fits the pattern. Ranging from three hundred to five hundred US dollars, these magnificent one and two piece swimsuits are breathtaking. But if the bathing suits alone are not stunning enough to admire, the idea behind the collection is pure genius.

The glorious bathing suit is actually an integral piece of a grander evening ensemble. Adding long gowns and skirts, the outfits, complete with bathing suits, can be worn as cocktail dresses or evening gowns. My personal favorite is the marvelous purple and white Dona Flor, long flowing jersey dress on bathing suit inlaid with amethysts. In addition to the long gown and one piece suit, the collection offers a two piece suit and gorgeous long flowing shawl-like scarf that can be over the shoulders of the gown or the bathing suits.

Although, the Dona Flor (photos above) would be my first choice because of the colour scheme, I would not complain about having to purchase instead the alluring Don Diego (below) with black tulle skirt, or the Flamenca in black and purple with scalloped breast highlights, or even the Infante citrine coloured gown with natural pearl straps.

Indeed, a romantic Caribbean vacation or destination beach wedding would not be complete without one of Claudie Song’s spectacular ensembles.
