Intimissimi is a popular Italian label, recently becoming more and more famous in the USA thanks to Victoria’s Secret stocking quite a few of their designs in selected boutiques across the country. In Italy though, the label is sold in signature boutiques in most cities, and the Calzedonia group has also expanded these shops throughout southern Europe, into buzzing cities such as Barcelona and Madrid.

TLP introduced their latest collection to the internet about a week ago, and the photos they’ve shown were very convincing.

“These pictures are from the Intimissimi 2009 Spring/Summer collection. Within the Women’s line, they have three offerings: underwear, easywear, and jersey. Another line is called “Basic Comfort” and is really every day underwear for women. Finally, they have a line for men, consisting of many lounge pants and some knickers that look like most of the offerings from Ginch Gonch for men.”

So I have to say that I am a huge fan of DKNY everything and when I found out that they make lingerie too – well I had to check it out.  That is when I found this little ad campaign and I found this little beautiful number.  Now to most people, this actually looks like just some black panties paired with a black bra, but that is not the case at all!

I think that honestly, these two things are some of the best fitting, best looking and honestly, they just look incredible.  DKNY is certainly the brand that you should be purchasing and certainly something that you should be investing in.

Forget about all of your other lingerie ladies, DKNY is going to be the best fit and will certainly make you feel all kinds of sexy!

The Lingerie Post just posted photos of the all-new Ayten Gasson Lingerie SS09 collection, and I’m extremely happy with what the young UK-based designer has come up with this season. According to TLP:

The latest collection includes vintage inspirited silk camisoles, tap pants and all in one teddy. These are all trimmed with hand crafted cotton laces made in one of the last lace mills in the UK, also renowned for making the lace for Princess Diana’s wedding dress.

New York based company Lavinia Lingerie, built by wife and husband team Janine and Armands Kruze, has added its new bra arrivals to the website. With an already huge selection of existing bras, this is a pleasant treat. Taking from the influences and excellent craftsmanship found in European lingerie companies, Lavinia’s inventory is imported into the US from manufacturers in Europe but is designed by the family team.

Admiring the newest selection, the stark white Sheer Bra with demi-cup styling is magnificently embroidered with orange and red flowers and bright fruits punctuated with a hint of green leaves. Double lined to avoid scratches from the embroidery, the cup tops are finished off with beautifully scalloped lace. Complete the set with a matching thong with pretty twin strings on the hips and comfortable cotton panty liner. Naturally, such fine detailing originates in Italy.

One cannot help but notice the green Lined Shelf Bra with black lace straps and floral print. Another example of fine European lace work, the bra is delicately finished with scalloped cup tops and a sweet chiffon bow. For added comfort, the demi-cups are lined with soft cotton. Matching panties come in both thong and brief styles. Truly spectacular is the bestseller Sheer Demi Cup bra with intricate red flowers embroidered on black fish net fabric. Thin black ribbon bows adorn each strap.

In addition to the gorgeous bras, the panty collection is equally decadent. Cotton, nylon and sheer mesh in thongs, tangas, full briefs, hipsters and boy shorts with flower motifs, sumptuous embroidery, lace silhouettes and plain solid colours and fabrics.

I saw an older piece of “Bien Fée pour toi” called Nostalgie and I was in love so I thought I must see some other pieces of this glorious collection. But I received an extra special surprise because the website has already published the photos for the newest group, their Fall Winter collection. Quite simply put, this is beautiful lingerie! Delicate, feminine, classy and sexy all wrapped up in one decadent and crave-struck package.

I am enamored with the classic, elegant look of the black “Fée-line” collection but the most sumptuous pieces, in my opinion, are the “Candy” selections in gold printed white cotton with white tulle insets on the breast cups and white bows on the shoulder straps. To make the collection even sweeter, “Bien Fée pour toi” adds exquisite pink and silver lace to the camisole (tank top) around the neckline and shoulder straps. The culotte panties come with one small bow on each leg and the tanga briefs are adorned with pink and silver lace.

My favourite piece is the wrap around style cover-up, “Cache-coeur in french”, with long sleeves, lace embellishments, and satin ribbon tying the top together underneath the bustline. It is ever so sexy worn with either pair of panties.

Kaftans are considered lingerie because they are sleepwear, worn as casual wear like nightgowns, and are basically worn around the house. A few years back, there was a major trend where every female received kaftans as their Christmas presents. And who could forget Mrs. Roper on Three’s Company wearing her trademark outfit – the kaftan?

But I noticed that kaftans have made a comeback and lingerie sites are selling beautifully made silk kaftans and excellent quality luxury designs. Today kaftans are being promoted as lingerie for those that prefer to be discreet and they are also being sold as cruise wear. In fact, the cruise wear angle is very popular right now.

Especially gorgeous are the kaftans from the Donalé 2008 Summer Collection. I wish I could give you more information about the designer but I have only been able to confirm that Donalé is an up and coming French designer. I did, however, find a large representation of the collection on Louise Sandberg’s, London website. And what I saw was luxurious and sexy. Made of one hundred percent cotton in fabulous colours of beachside greens, pinks and yellows, classic tones of black and white, and pretty reds, all in gorgeous short and knee-length styles with exquisite hand embroidery.

These kaftans look wonderful walking the beach or lounging poolside. Summer’s a comin’!

Lala Rose, Miss Lala and Mia are all collections by Lebanese luxury lingerie designer Stephanie Abidjaoudi. An exclusive collection, only found in the best lingerie boutiques around the world, Lala Rose is a relative newcomer to the luxury lingerie industry having started in 2003. But that has not stopped Lala Rose from become a well -deserved name with its own factory of thirty-five employees. Considering Stephanie started out by hand-making her precious creations, she has come a long way in a short period of time.

Made exclusively with high quality silks, cottons, and laces, the garments are bright, colourful and reminiscent of long-gone eras. In fact, the Summer 2008 Collection, Miss Monroe, is a dedication to Marilyn Monroe with gorgeous pink camisoles and bikini panties, canary yellow spaghetti strapped camis with long pants and fabulously red bustiers. The collection is playful, vibrant and sexy and is meant to bring out the star in every woman while at the same time letting out the child in her.

The story behind the name for the business is interesting. Princesses in Morocco are called Princess Lalla and their first names. While Stephanie attended a wedding in Morocco, the other guests called her Lalla Stephanie which is princess. So she named her company Lala Rose.

Stephanie’s designs are so highly coveted that she was chosen to design the wedding trousseau for Saudi King Abdallah’s granddaughter. In 2006, her collection centered on Jackie Onassis creating the pieces from tulle, vintage materials, colourful silks, Swarovski diamantes and plenty of pretty lace.

When once asked in an interview if she was happy with the number of locations that sold her collections, Stephanie answered by saying that she was very picky about what types of stores retailed her products. She would rather have a few upper brow stores than many low-end shops selling her line. And she is not kidding when she makes this remark. A new very high-end store (Sex&…) in Miami opened in November 2007 selling only the most expensive products from around the world. Lala Rose’s complete Marie Antoinette line adorned its rightful position in this posh store. The price tag on an underwire bra was two thousand US dollars. Add the matching panties and the set cost five thousand dollars.

Now that is luxury!

Huit’s 2008 collection of swimsuits and lingerie can now be found in stores. The lines are dainty and feminine catering to younger and smaller women. The lingerie lines offer soft and padded bras, half bras, underwire and push up air bras. The little matching panties come in string style, brief boxer and low-waisted underpants. Demure colours in porcelain, milky white, platinum, raspberry pink and black keep the line elegant and classic to be worn under fancy or casual clothing.

To celebrate its fortieth anniversary, Huit Lingerie has recreated a 1970’s best seller in the TITCHA set complete with pretty flower design on each breast. Choose matching panties to complete the set.

Huit’s swimwear line comes in both two-piece and one-piece styling. Classic vibrant colours, cute little beach dresses and playful ribbons are the norm. One ingenuitive point I noticed is the one-piece suit made to look like a two-piece bathing suit.
