Luxury Lingerie Shopping

By now we are hoping that you have ogled at the glamorous ladies of Sex and the City 2 or if not, you must not miss it! Well it is not the best 2 hours of film but it will be perfect if you are looking for some fun. Fashionistas will love the four females of SATC doing their gazillion wardrobe changes. It is really inspiring to see the beauties and how this movie will help set the trends in the coming months.

We did some sort of detective work and tried to identify the lingerie featured in the flick. Enjoy these great finds:

If you have seen SATC 2, you might remember Carrie Bradshaw dining with Mr. Big? Look through the wine glass and have a glimpse of the Infrared Peacock from La Fee Verte. Don’t you just love how she does layering of the bra as the outerwear.

We also heard that Sarah Jessica Parker selected Fleur of England for the film but we were not able to spot it. Oh, and she also requested the bra to be wrapped after the filming to add to her personal collection.

She offers a gorgeous selection of pieces which are undeniably feminine, unquestionably sexy, yet enormously comfortable as well.

Take, for example, these two beautiful pieces: the Antonia Ghazlan Silk Bra and the matching Antonia Ghazlan Silk Thong. The bra incorporates an exquisite floral design on silk, with golden buds which are embroidered on a deep red. The cups of the bra feature both padding and supportive underwire.

The matching silk thong is made of dark red silk with a comfortable stretch, and it is accented with gold buds as well as a gorgeous, matching floral print.

So when I say hot, I really do mean hot.  I think that La Senza really knows exactly what they were doing when they created this perfect little piece!  This incredible piece of lingerie is by far one that incorporates everything that I love about lingerie.

I love the fact that this makes the model look sexy, the fact that this lingerie looks comfortable and that is looks very easy to take off.  Seriously, you just snap a few things, unzip a few things and you got it off!

The garter belt is something that I think is totally under appreciated and in this it is totally highlighted, the colors are perfect and to be honest – this piece of lingerie should be featured all over the world and should definitely be in every woman’s drawer!

Lingerie has always intrigued me. The feel of beautiful, soft fabric on my skin, dripping in lace and pretty delicacies, makes me feel like I have arrived. To me, living successfully is not amassing millions of dollars, but rather being able to buy the lingerie pieces that I adore. And while camisoles are important to me, bras, on the other hand, have never been a real favourite of mine. I liked and bought fancy bras but never saw anything that caught my eye enough for me to say “oh my goodness”. Until I saw the Ennia collection of bras and panties.

Further, thongs never made much sense to me at all. I paid even less attention to thongs than I did to bras. But again, when I saw the Ennia Rowena Thong, I thought to myself, “I must have that”. This statement comes from someone who would not even like to wear a thong.

But there is something dramatic, intense and mystifying about this incredibly gorgeous collection. It sounds rather overzealous to talk about bras and panties in this fashion, but when viewing this collection, I felt like a spell had been cast upon me.

Elegant designs, in colour schemes such as champagne and gold, vibrant pink and soft grey, and chocolate brown and cream finished off with Swiss embroidery and French Leavers Lace, make these pieces look like natural flowers on the skin. It seems almost unreal and ridiculous to call the boxer style shorts and the boy shorts such masculine and simplistic names. The panties are far from being masculine and the intricate detailing warrants a name (other than boxer and boy) more befitting of the exquisite work.

Ennia, founded in 1987 in Spain, is sold throughout most of the world. Its founder, Mercedes Vila, has grown a large loyal business while at the same keeping small family values and quality control intact. Her team of twenty ladies, based in a little workshop in La Coruna, boasts the beautiful designs with new collections being released each year and no mass production of pieces. In fact, they claim that if your size of lingerie is not available, the ladies will try to make it personally for you.

The epitome of success for me would be to visit this little workshop and see the ladies creating some of these divine creations. Ennia has a website — it’s right here!

This excellent Madame V collection just made it onto The Lingerie Post’s homepage, and seeing as I absolutely adore the photos, it’s time for some more linklove their way!

Luxurious designs, wintercolors (but anything but cold!) — and a Classica Violet Padded Multiway Bra that pretty much makes it into my all-time top-5 of most sexy bras. EXCELLENT!!

The Essence Basque by Charnos features a front panel of paisley style embroidery and subtle horizontal stripes on the sides. The underwired cups and straps are edged with ornate frills giving it a look of elegance. Elegance is good, so we just had to feature this somewhat innocent looking basque by one of our favorite brands: Charnos.

As you can see in the photo’s though, this is a sure-combiner! The Essence basque will only really work in combination with both a thong (don’t go with a brief with this basque, it just doesn’t look right!) and a garter belt/stockings combo. No exceptions, really, as you’ll kill the look without them – on the other hand, dropping the thong might just work ).

You don’t have to hesitate for price tag reasons. £50 is a very reasonable price for such a high quality basque, and at figleaves you’re always sure of the best after-sales service… Happy shopping!
